Yamunotri and Gangotri Do Dham Yatra

The sacred shrines at Yamunotri and Gangotri are built to commemorate the sacred origins of Rivers Yamuna and Ganga respectively. These two or Do Dham Yamunotri & Gangotri yatra from Haridwar, Yamunotri Temple, Gangotri Temple, Rishikesh which is known as a very important Holy religious place. Yamunotri (Origin of River Yamuna) and Gangotri (Origin of River Ganga) are not only rewarding from a Pilgrimage perspective but also present excellent drives and views en route. Tour Itinerary:-

1st Day: Haridwar to Saynachati / Barkot (N.S)(220 kms/7-8hrs)
The journey starts from Haridwar to Barkot. On arrival check in Hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

2nd Day: Saynachati /Barkot to Yamunotri and back Saynachati (N.S)(36 km & 6kms trek one side)
Early morning drive to Jankichatti, start a 6 km trek from Janki Chatti to Yamunotri either by walk, doli or by horse at your own cost. On arrival at Yamunotri, take a bath in hot Jamunabai Kund then go for Temple darshan, after having Temple darshan you can also cook rice by packing it in a cloth and dipping it in the hot water of the hot kund. Pilgrims take this cooked rice back home as “Prasad”. After this back down to Jankichatti and then proceed to Barkot. Overnight at the hotel.

3rd Day: Saynachati / Barkot to Uttarkashi (N.S)(110 kms/5-6hrs)
Morning checks out from the hotel and drives to Uttarkashi. On arrival check in at the hotel, In the evening we will visit the famous temple of Kashi –Viswanath at Uttarkashi and then back to the hotel for an overnight stay.

4rth Day: Uttarkashi to Gangotri and back Uttarkashi (N.S (108 kms/5-6hrs one side)
Early morning drive to Gangotri. At Gangotri take a holy dip in the river Ganga, It’s also called Bhagirathi at its origin. Then go for Temple darshan, after the temple darshan drive back to Uttarkashi for the overnight stay.

5th Day: Uttarkashi to Haridwar via Rishikesh (200 kms/7-8hrs)
Check out from the hotel and drive to Haridwar. On arrival drop at Haridwar.
