Gaurikund

Gaurikund is located at a distance of 5 km from Sonprayag at an altitude of 1,982 meters. Here, one can take a holy bath in the natural hot water spring and visit the sacred Gauri Temple. It is said that Goddess Parvati meditated here to attain Lord Shiva. Gaurikund also serves as the base point for the trek to Kedarnath.
